Entry 8: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles --- Video Game Rankings (NES)

Welcome back to the tavern! For today we are looking at the second NES game I am adding to our gaming list. Now this one might seem weird to add early on. But it was one of the first NES games I had ever played. What game is that?

Info---

Game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Platform: Nintendo Entertainment System
Release Date: June 25, 1989
ESRB: (originally not rated)
Difficulty Rating (1-5): 4.24
Genre: Action/Platforming
Developer: Konami
Price: Lose - $11.50 Complete - $85  New - $1,938.15

Originally Nintendo had this odd rule that publishers could only release so many video games a year for them. So Konami got around that by releasing this under the Ultra games moniker. But it's truly a Konami game. So how is the game though?

Hard as nails platforming. But super fun. It's cool to play as all the turtles. Music is good. Platforming is fun. Game does get very hard by the end. Great game though and a good add to your NES collection!

Where am I ranking it? Well it would beat a ton of NES games. But Not Mario. So here's my updated list:

NES Rankings:
#1 Super Mario Bros.
#2 TMNT

Stay tuned for more from the gamer's tavern!

Entry 7: The Legend of the Mystical Ninja --- Video Game Rankings (SNES)

Welcome back to the gamer's tavern! Today we have another Super Nintendo game ranking. It might seem obscure to some readers. But I actually owned this game as a kid. And it's an interesting doozy. Welcome to Legend of the Mystical Ninja!

Info---

Game: The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Platform: Super Nintendo Entertainment System
Release Date: February 1992
ESRB: (originally not rated)
Difficulty Rating (1-5): 3.75
Genre: 3D Platformer/RPG
Developer: Konami
Price: Lose - $57.34 Complete - $194.01  New - $621.00
Worth Playing?: Yes!

The first game in the Japanese video game series Ganbare Goemon to have a western release, as a kid I simply knew it as Kid Ying and Dr. Yang. The game is a mix between platformer and moderate RPG elements. It's odd for sure. And I wouldn't exactly call it a classic. Still with all that being said, it is a lot of fun. The game is not easy due to when you get hit you lose your current power level. Also it had an odd storyline for a Western audience. But that adds to it's charm honestly. So where is it going on my list?

SNES Rankings:
#1 The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
#2 Clue

A new number 1! Hope you enjoyed this nostalgia. Game on!

Entry 11: Bill & Ted's Excellent Video Game Adventure --- Video Game Rankings (NES)
